How do I download my ABHA card?

The short answer

Log in at abha.abdm.gov.in and download it from your profile.

  • Choose Mobile Number, Aadhaar Number or ABHA Number as your login.1
  • Fill in the captcha and enter the OTP sent to your phone.
  • Open your ABHA profile and use the download option to save the card as a PDF.

It's free. You can also download it from your profile in the ABHA app or Aarogya Setu app.

⚠️
Only on official sites

ABHA is free. Type your Aadhaar number or an OTP only on abha.abdm.gov.in, the ABHA app or the Aarogya Setu app. Many lookalike “ABHA card” websites exist. Naked Compound is not connected to the National Health Authority, and we never ask for your Aadhaar, OTP or health records.

How to download the ABHA card on the portal

  1. Go to abha.abdm.gov.in and click ABHA Login.
  2. Pick how to log in: Mobile Number, Aadhaar Number or ABHA Number.1
  3. Enter the number, fill in the captcha, and enter the OTP. With Aadhaar, the OTP goes to your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
  4. If one mobile number has several ABHA profiles, as with family members, pick the right person.
  5. On your profile, choose the option to download your ABHA card, and save the PDF.

Button names on the portal change from time to time. If a label differs from ours, go by what the official site shows.

Download ABHA card by Aadhaar number

Choose Aadhaar Number on the login page, enter your 12-digit Aadhaar and the OTP sent to the mobile linked with it. This works only if your ABHA was created with Aadhaar, or your Aadhaar was later linked to it.1

If your Aadhaar mobile has changed, update it at a Permanent Aadhaar Centre first, or log in with your ABHA number instead.2

Download ABHA card by mobile number

Choose Mobile Number, enter the mobile you registered with ABHA, and enter the OTP. If that number holds more than one ABHA (for family members), you'll be asked to choose which profile to open.2

Forgot your ABHA number or lost the card?

You don't need to make a new one. Use “Forgot your ABHA number?” on the login page. NHA says you can recover it with your Aadhaar number or registered mobile number, after filling in basic details and verifying with your linked phone.12

Created your ABHA with a driving licence and haven't finished verification? Use “Retrieve your Enrolment number” instead.1

ℹ️
ABHA card vs Ayushman card

The ABHA card is your health ID. The Ayushman (PM-JAY) card is for the government insurance scheme and is downloaded through a different process. Having one doesn't mean you have the other.3

What to do with your ABHA card

At hospitals that use ABDM, you can show your ABHA number or scan the QR code at the registration counter to register faster. With your consent, records from that visit can be linked to your ABHA.3

To add older paper reports and prescriptions, read how to upload medical records to ABHA. Our free prescription to digital record tool can turn a printed prescription into a clean PDF first, on your phone.
