For brands
Brands can ask us to review a product and pay for the work it takes. We buy it from a shop, test it, score it on our published rubric, and publish what we find, good or bad.
Short answer: brands pay a fixed fee for testing, not for a result. The fee is the same whether a product scores well or fails, it can't be refunded once work starts, and every review is published with a note saying it came through this program. Only products that pass lab testing can use the Naked Compound Verified badge.
Tell us about the product and which tier you want. We reply with a price and timeline, or tell you why we can't take it on.
You can cancel any time before paying. Once you've paid, the review will be published whatever it finds.
We purchase the product from a retail channel without telling the seller who we are. We don't test samples you send, because customers don't buy those.
For Lab Verified reviews, the product goes to an NABL-accredited lab. Every product is then scored on the same rubric we use for reviews nobody paid for.
You get the full findings and lab report seven days before publication. You can point out factual errors and submit a written response.
The review goes live with your response and a note that it came through this program. Products that pass Lab Verified can then license the badge.
Pricing depends on the category and the lab tests it needs, so every tier is quoted. The fee never depends on the result.

We can decline any application. If we decline before you pay, you owe nothing.

No. We buy the product ourselves from a retail channel, the same way a customer would, so we test what customers actually receive. You can send your own certificate of analysis and we will compare it with our results.
A Label Audit scores the product on our rubric using the label, licence and ingredient evidence, with no lab testing. A Lab Verified review adds testing at an NABL-accredited lab. Only Lab Verified products can earn the Verified badge.
Products that pass a Lab Verified review can license the badge for one year. The licence includes a retest of a new retail batch. If a retest fails, the badge is suspended or revoked and the change is shown publicly on the Verified Brands page.
Yes. Every review that came through the program says so at the top of the page, along with the tier and the fact that the fee did not affect the score.
We reply within a few working days with a price, a timeline, or the reason we can't take the product on. Requesting a quote doesn't commit you to anything.
Reviews from this program follow the same methodology and conflicts policy as every other review on Naked Compound. Most of our reviews are of products nobody paid us to look at, and that won't change. Questions: naked.business@yahoo.com
